I got this dress a few months ago from ebay, and despite it being a bit on the short side I love it. I love collars but can't wear high necks because of having bigger boobs, so this peter pan collar had me head over heels inlove. The fact that the dress isn't too smart or casual makes it perfect for dressing up or down, it made a lot of appearances when I went to lectures. After purchasing way too many dressed from ebay I have had to stop myself ordering for the sake of my bank account!

Peter Pan collar summer dress OOTD
| Link: Peter Pan collar pullover dress with cardigan |
Lately I have gone MAD on Ebay and found a few cheap and pretty dresses that I couldn't resist. All of my recent buys have had Peter Pan collars, I love the cutesy look they add to your outfit.
The material on this dress is very thin and soft, perfect for a spring/summer wear (not that it's been very warm lately). The material is also quite shiny so I think it could easily be dressed up to wear on an evening out.
It comes with a beige cardigan which I probably won't wear with the dress as i'm not too keen on the ties (which I tied round the back on the picture) but considering you get the dress and cardigan for just £10.12 it's a pretty good deal!

Comfy New Year!
Herrooooo! and Happy New Year!!
Once again my new year resolution is to get this blog going! Last year I quit because I am a big baby and didn't keep on top of my uni work. But this year as it is my final year I am going to be a good girl, do all of my work and keep on top of this blog as I am sure the extra experience will come in handy when I face the real world in May when uni finishes waaa!
Anywhooooo!! The other day I went for a quick look around the sales and found NOTHING! but i did find this amazing over-sized jumper in ARK. They had in in this light pink or cream, and i instantly fell for the pink. This wasn't in the sale but I thought £19.99 was an amazing price as it's such a nice jumper. Also I find ARK can be very expensive with some of their clothes so this was a cheery cheap buy!
I am awful at taking pictures of myself and haven't quite found the best place in my new student house to do so yet. So bare with me!
What shop have you found amazing sale items in?!

When you were young
I have finally decided to show off my new earrings from Miss Selfridge! I can't remember how much they were exactly (£3-£4) but I do remember I thought it was a pretty good deal. I did also buy a double finger ring with a gold cross like these on it but I have no idea where it has gone (waaa!) hopefully I is somewhere hidden in the old floordrobe!!
Anywhoozles! I must go and pick up my niece and nephew from school so enjoy my face with my lovely earrings!

Rainy Day Dresses OOTD
While sorting out my clothes the other week this was a dress
I found that I have never wore! I think
it was a ‘hand-me-down’ from one of my mum’s friends daughters, so I’m not sure
where it was from, but its the kind of dress I would buy so I have no idea why
it has been hanging in my wardrobe collecting dust over the past year.
Only thing is I am a funny size. Size 10 on the bottom
always fits perfectly but in some shops a size 10 is to tight over my chest
(Thanks again mum for the gift of big boobs) so as the dress was button up it
won’t button past my waist. I didn’t mind though as it still looked nice with a
black strap top underneath. I would have loved to be able to button it all the
way to the top as it has a collar and I am inlove with shirts and blouses at
the moment. The dress also came with a tie up belt but I didn’t quite like it,
but now that I think of this a brown belt would have looked nice.
This would have been the perfect outfit to wear out and
about on a warm day...sadly even though it was humid I was stuck inside because
of the stupid rain! I really hope summer comes around before uni starts again
in September so I can spend my holiday outside and not in front of the TV!!!

Lazy Days OOTD
If you’re anything like me you have a number of clothes
sitting in your wardrobe that you never wear yet never throw out because you
might wear it ‘some day’. This summer I finally got round to deciding which
clothes I would wear. I got this top as a gift ages ago and never wore it until
today!
I love stripes and I love how the horizontal stripes on this
top change to go vertically down your arms. I think what made me neglect to
wear this top for so long was because of the baggy top and fitted bottom. I paired
the top with some jeans as I thought it was a bit to short to wear leggings with.
This will definitely go into the keep section of my wardrobe, I think it will
come in handy for those lazy days or just when I got to Uni.

Birthday Outfit OOTD
I bought this dress from Missguided for my boyfriend’s
Birthday night out. If you have read my blog before you will realise
burgundy/red colour of the skirt was a big seller for me! I have wanted a dress
like this for a while but thought it wouldn’t suit me. But when I needed a
dress for my boyfriend’s birthday and couldn’t find one anywhere I finally went
on the Missguided website and they had this dress in lots of different colours,
so when I saw this one I fell inlove, and better yet, it was in the sale for
£19.99!!!
I like the high wasted style of the dress as I sometimes
feel a bit self-conscious that my belly is sticking out, but if it was, this
dress hid it. But I advise that you don’t wear this on a night out in a really
busy club when the day has been very hot! I did this and ended up feeling like
I was in a cooker!!!
Just a short blog for today, but finally after many promises
that I would start blogging again, I finally am. I moved out of my house in
Derby and came home to mummy’s house for a month until I can move into my new
house, and as I have no job I will have plenty of time to blog!

Summer Spending OOTD
I’m back!!(I hope) The plan was that when I finished my
second year if uni I would be back to blogging, but it didn’t turn out that
way. Three weeks later and all I have done is lay around and have fun, but now
I am finally back with a little outfit post which I love!
For a while I have been going on about finding a plain black
maxi dress. However my bank balance is very low as I still haven’t found a
summer job, so I was ok that I had not found a dress. Last weekend I went home
to visit mother dearest and I came across this dress in H&M. It is
basically exactly what I was looking for. The material is soft, similar to what
a normal top would be made out of. What I am trying to say it looks very
casual. For only £12.99 I just couldn’t resist, in my eyes that is quite a bargain.
I had planned from the start to pair my dress with a thin brown belt and brown sandals,
which I did. I forgot to take a picture of the sandals but they are from Primark
and only £5 (perfect for my bank balance).
I have always feared that a maxi dress would make me look
short. I am only 5’5 and though I don’t feel short a lot of people say I am. Fortunately
this dress did the exact opposite and makes my legs look very long. Wearing the
belt quite high up helped with this. I also found that as the belt pulled the
dress in slightly which was very flattering and made me look super skinny.
As soon as I bought the dress I text my house mate and told
her of my naughty purchase and she replied “That’s ok because you have really
wanted one,” that wasn’t a very good justification of my naughtiness for my mum
but it was certainly enough for me!
Thank you for bearing with me while I have been being lazy! Has
anybody else found any cheap summer buys?

So call me maybe! OOTD
Getting ready is all part of the fun when you are going on a
night out. However, though I find taking my time to put on makeup and do my
hair I HATE deciding what to wear. Everything I want to wear is almost always
in the wash and I always end up stressed out.
Monday night however was completely different. I had an idea
of what I was going to wear and when I
put it on I didn’t like it very much for a night out so I switched to my ever
trusty black skirt. I bought this top from International when I was at home, it
was 2 for £10 so I got this lovely colour and yellow. I am normally a size 10
but I found the top looked tight over my chest so ended up getting a 12. My
black skirt is way too short but luckily with this top I was able to wear it
just under the belly button and my bum stayed covered all night(at least I think
so). I got the skirt from H&M over a year ago and it is very often my
choice of skirt for a night out matched with a coloured top of some sort.
Monday night was very cold so I wore my knitted cardi from
ARK. This is my favourite cardigan!!! I love how it’s oversized and of course burgundy.
Super warm, super cosy and super cute.
Hope everyone is having a fabulous week! As usual my week to
do work has been wasted and now I am terrified because there is so much to be
done! Ahh!

Strawberries and Cream OOTD
Last night I went to play Bingo with my mum and her friend,
(I know – how young of me, but it really was fun.) I thought I may as well make
an outfit post as I haven’t included my white shirt before.
My boyfriend bought me this white sleeveless shirt from
Topshop for Christmas. I have got a lot of use out of it since I got it,
tucked into shorts and skirts and over leggings. Last night when I was getting
ready I thought It would look so cute with my new pastel pink jeans!! The pink
made the shirt look all the more girly and delicate. I absolutely love how
floaty the shirt is, and the longer back means no feeling self conscious when
wearing it over leggings (constantly terrified of having a VPL and not
realising it ha ha.) I have no idea how much the top was as it was for Christmas
though I found a top on Topshop’s website that looks the same but pink and that
was £30 (find it here.)
Just a short post today to show off my shirt and once again
flaunt my new jeans as they have become my new babies.

Feeling Rather Girly!! OOTD
Finally yesterday I was brave enough to buy a pastel colour pair of jeans!!! When I saw them on my shopping trip once again I spent a while debating the colour I would get. This time I finally made up my mind and chose pink as I do not have enough pink in my wardrobe and have no idea why! Plus with them being only £17 from ‘International’ I couldn't resist.
The top was also a new buy from International. I can’t
remember the price(£16 maybe) though and am not sure where I put the receipt. I love the vibrant colours on the butterflies!
Got me ready to go out in the sun. (sadly the sun isn’t going to last so the
weather man saysL)
My poor bank balance will be left alone for a while to
recover before my student loan comes in!!

My Love For Burgundy OOTD
The picture isn’t very good this week but oh well. I have
been inlove with all burgundy coloured clothes since last Autumn started. This
style dress was in almost every shop and I was determined to pick one up in
this colour for a christening I went to. I was originally inlove with a dress
almost identical to this in Ark but this one was a lot cheaper in another shop in
Derby(don’t remember the name). The dress came with a plain brown belt but I
couldn’t find it when I wore the dress to go out on Saturday so I found a
plaited belt to wear. It’s very short so tights are essential as the one time I
wore it out with no tight I’m sure everyone saw my pants!!
Even though it’s coming up to spring I can’t see myself
wearing this colour any less as I really love it and have a lot of clothes that
are burgundy.
So as I do every week I promised more blog posts, and once
again I have ended up being very busy with Uni work and putting off my blog. Oh
well, Easter holidays start when I go home on Saturday!! I’m hoping to get a
few blogs done next week!(hopefully I will keep my promise.)

Ready For Spring! OOTD
As promised I am back on my game this week and writing
blogs. I’ve been searching for blouses everywhere but apparently Derby just isn’t
very good at the moment when it comes to me and finding nice new clothes. So I sifted
through every website I could think of and found this blouse from Select.
When I saw the picture on the website I thought it was an off-white
colour but when it got here it is nude. I love the blouse and the colour is
lovely, I felt like I was dressed for spring when I wore it to uni. The
material is really soft and floaty which added to my spring feeling. I especially
love the gold tipped collar, I am loving gold at the moment and it adds a
really nice touch to the blouse. I'm very please with my buy for only £14 :)
When I wore it I paired it with blue jeggings. Initially I thought
I would wear it with normal black leggings but wearing it with jeggings gave it
a more casual look. I will get plenty use out of the blouse either wearing it
casually to uni or even when going out for a meal paired with leggings.
Has anyone found any nice blouses for spring?

Shopping Cures Flu?
I have no idea how much these leggings cost. I either want
to say £7.00 or £11.00(more likely £7.00). I saw them in Primark after
Christmas and wanted them ever since. When I went on my shopping spree the
other week I decided to pick them up.
My problem with printed leggings is that I feel like I look
like I’m wearing pyjamas!! I have a pair of grey leopard print leggings and
every time I wear them I think it looks like I’m one of those weird people that
go out in public wearing their pyjamas. Luckily I don’t think these look like
that. I wore a Newlook top with them that was featured in another OOTD post
which you can find here.
These leggings are very thick, and as we are coming into
spring I felt a bit stupid buying them, but then I remembered that I live in
England and sooner or later there will be a miserable day in spring/summer
where I will have to wear warm clothes.
Sorry for the short post but as I’ve been ill all week and
haven’t been able to look at my laptop because the light hurts my head. I can’t
believe it’s already Thursday and I have only taken one picture to be featured
in my week in photos because so far my week has consisted of tissues, paracetamol and bed. I took these pictures on Sunday to include in another post
but then I got ill and I haven’t done a post in so long I thought I would just
do a short one.

New Clothes Make Me Happy! OOTD
So this week I FINALLY got a new camera with my Christmas
money, and to my delight it turned out that I spent less on the camera than
expected!! Obviously this meant it was time for me to treat myself to some new
clothes.
I apologise for the horrible pictures but I haven’t found anywhere good to take pictures in my house yet.
| beautiful pale ankles |
Primark is always my first stop. Although for the majority
of my second year at Uni I hadn’t found anything I liked in there. Luckily this
year I have seen many a outfit I wanted from Primark and now was my chance to
spend some money.
The trousers I bought were only £11.00 and I LOVE them. They
came with a horrible pink sparkly belt(which I don’t understand, so I just took
it off). They are a skinny fit and were a good size (I say this because
normally for me Primark’s sizes are really weird but the size 10 fit great) I did have to roll up the legs a little, maybe
my legs are short but they still look good rolled up and they are so comfy!! I
thought these were very good quality for Primark so £11 didn’t seem much at all
as this style of trousers anywhere else would have probably cost double the
price(If not more).
The top was from Newlook but i can't seem to find it on their website. I really wanted to find some
blouses while I was in town but I liked none that they had in Primark, and
Newlook didn’t seem to have any which I found very strange because usually I’m
lusting after all of their blouses and never have any money to buy them. The
top was £14.99 but with my student discount it was £13.49...not much I know but
it feels good to get discount. I never usually get printed tops but this one
caught my attention(still no idea why). I love the loose fit and thought it’s
not as feminine as something I would normally get I love it and an see myself getting
a lot of use out of this summer paired
with some shorts.
The shoes were also from Primark and I have wanted them
since I first saw them(last year I think) but when last I had money to get them
it was miserable weather and I didn’t want them to get ruined before I got good
use out of them. I initially went to the shoe section of Primark to find a pair
of boots that I have wanted since before Christmas, but of course now that I have
the money to buy them the only pair they had were a size 3(boo! L). The shoes were £10
which I thought was well worth it and I love them so much I may go back and
purchase the black pair.
